Broadly speaking, work in our lab investigates the cognitive and neural substrates governing skill learning and performance. We are especially interested in how such processes differ as a function of the skill level of the performer (e.g., novices vs. experts) and the performance environment (e.g., a practice situation vs. a high-stakes test).
